FEAST DAY OF MONASTERY OF SAINTS RAPHAEL, NICHOLAS AND IRENE

This year the feast day of saints Raphael, Nicholas and the virgin martyr Irene was celebrated brilliantly in Karyes hill at Lesvos. Many pilgrims from all over the world have traveled in order to honor the saints. Political and military representatives from Lesvos attended the celebrations. Metropolitans Iakovos  of Mytilene and Chrystomos of Mythimna together with many other priests held the holy liturgy. Abess Tavitha was holding the holy relics (holy head) of Great Martyr Saint Raphael during the service. A military musical band accompanied the Abess and the nuns. At the end the abbess welcomed everyone at the guest house (archontariki) in order to serve the treats.
